In France, work on a home completed more than two years ago can qualify for 10% VAT (art. 279-0 bis CGI), or 5.5% for energy-efficiency improvements (art. 278-0 bis A). Since 2025 the customer no longer fills in a Cerfa certificate: a statement on the signed quote or invoice replaces it, and you keep those documents with your books.

In France, to get MaPrimeRénov' the homeowner must hire a company certified RGE for the work it carries out. Put your RGE qualification and its reference on your energy-renovation quotes: without it, your customer won't get the grant.
In France, for any repair, call-out or maintenance job at a private customer's home, the order of 24 January 2017 (in force since 1 April 2017) requires a detailed quote before work starts, whatever the amount: hourly labour rate and estimated time, parts and their prices, travel costs, and whether the quote itself is free or paid.
